How One Hospital Expanded Cleft Care During COVID-19

Kids Hospital in Giza, Egypt was gearing up to become the first Smile Train partner in the Middle East to offer vital non-surgical cleft care services like speech therapy and orthodontics when COVID-19 hit. Though it forced the hospital to close to cleft patients, our partners there refused to leave these vulnerable children behind.

In this video, our local partners tell the story of how, with help from Smile Train and local experts, they safely expanded their programs during a pandemic to give cleft patients and their families something to smile about when they needed it most.
