Felicia Babanawo
Program Manager, West Africa
Felicia Babanawo is Smile Train’s Program Manager for West Africa. She brings over 18 years of progressive experience in public health, health systems strengthening, program management, quality improvement, capacity building, primary healthcare, and maternal and child health programming.
Felicia has served in several senior leadership roles, including quality improvement advisor with the USAID Ghana Integrated Health Partnership/Project HOPE and senior technical advisor at the US President's Malaria Initiative/ Jhpiego. She has demonstrated strong expertise in program and grant management; monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL); quality improvement and health systems strengthening; stakeholder engagement; and regional program coordination.
Felicia is deeply passionate about strengthening health systems and expanding access to quality care for vulnerable populations. She believes that working with Smile Train to support free cleft surgeries and comprehensive cleft care for children and families is both a privilege and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. She is excited to contribute her experience and leadership to advancing Smile Train’s vision across the region.
Felicia holds a Master's of Public Health from the University of Ghana and has a professional background in nursing.
