Joseph Kariuki
Senior Program Manager
Joseph joined Smile Train in March 2015 as an intern in the Nairobi office. In July 2016, he joined the Smile Train Africa programs team full-time as the Program Assistant for Africa. In 2020, he was promoted to the role of Program Manager, East Africa, where he oversees Smile Train’s programs in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.
He previously worked as an in-community resource manager and later as a project supervisor with World Vision Kenya’s child sponsorship, protection, and livelihood support program.
Joseph has a background in project planning and management and information technology, plus experience in logistics, social media management, and administration.
